Yes, emotion is taking part in making decisions. It is really hard though to make decisions, particularly the important ones, eh? Our limbic system has powerful connections with the frontal lobes. If these connections are being destroyed, there will be problems in making decisions. When those people without the connections between the limbic system and the frontal lobes are facing a problem, which is requiring to make a decision, they will analyze and evaluate all the choices and may make the final decision for irrelevant reasons. They cannot feel their own emotional judgments, they may even admit that they know how should they feel, yet they don't really have the feelings. For us, normal people, when we are making a decision, the solution with the 'right feel' for us will often get chosen for conscious consideration. We'll not being annoyed by the many possible solutions.
