There's a medicine called Antidepressant, which is used for healing depression. Antidepressant is one of the main types of nervous-system stimulants. When you are always feeling sad and tried, decreasing appetite and seem not enjoying things that are fun, probably you have this mood disorder - depression. The things I have mentioned above are the symptoms of depression. Everyone of us will experience these symptoms at least once in their life. After you have these symptoms for more than 2 weeks, it is identified that you have this mood disorder.

There are 3 types of antidepressant - Prozac (Fluoxetine), Paxil (paroxetine) and Zoloft (streamline hydrochloride). In which, Prozac is the best selling and the most effective antidepressant among the three. Only adults can take Prozac. Prozac acts to increase the levels of serotonin, which suggests that irregularities in the neurotransmitter serotonin can take part in depression. It is also evidenced that irregularities in the neurotransmitter, norepinephrine are involved in some kinds of depression. Lastly, it is likely that some neural receptors may be over- or under-sensitive to certain neurotransmitters. Prozac inhibits serotonin in the brain and this causes people who have taken Prozac won't feel depressed anymore. After you have taken Prozac, you'll have headaches, drowsiness, and some troubles in sleeping. You'll also always feel anxious and nervous.

Paxil is another kind of antidepressant. They inhibit serotonin in the brain, which is making someone depressed. It works because serotonin is supposed to be one of the chemicals, which transmits brain messages from nerve cells to nerve cells. Also, serotonin is the chemical that works on the nerve cells, which provide you moods. The side effects of Paxil are neck pain, sore, chills and increased salvation.

The last antidepressant is called Zoloft. It works like the above 2 antidepressants - by inhibiting serotonin to make you feel not depressed anymore. Mania and weight loss are the side effects of Zoloft.
