Do children 'grow out' of autism?

Children will not 'grow out' of their autism. Autism is a life-long disability, with no known cure to date.

However, education and training play an important in helping children with autism pick up social skills and life skills. It is also possible that some autistic behaviours may moderate over time, especially when the child reaches adulthood.

Girls are less likely to be noticed because they tend to pick up on social skills better than boys do.
There is a new group called "Cure Autism Now" which claims that they can cure it. This is not true and my mum has had experience with other people with Autistic and Aspergers Syndrome children who have been abused by the staff who say that it is caused by bad parenting. This is a common thought even among psychologists.
