Individuals with autism look just like anyone in the population. Their 'normal'
appearance gives little indication of their condition, which is why autism is
often termed the "invisible disability".
However, they may sometimes stand out due to their unusual or odd behaviour,
such as flapping their arms and walking about on tip-toes.
