As the "New Age" comes further into bloom, many people world-wide are receiving psychic information and discovering they are mediums. Some of these people are "channeling," or bringing forward the "wisdom" of entities, or souls no longer incarnate. People are beginning to see the truth of what Jesus said: "You will do all the miracles I do, and more."

Unfortunately, most of those discovering their psychic ability have not had the proper training to know how to protect their energy bodies, or how to discern the source of the information they are giving to others as truth. Many get caught up in ego, blocked on their spiritual pathway by being enamored of themselves, thinking that being psychic is all that is necessary to being spiritual or attaining enlightenment. How mistaken they are!

Being psychic is a gift that all of us have, and will be continuing to develop. It doesn't make us any better or more aware than anyone else.

If psychics help with solutions, showing others how to open to their own vision, and do so in a humble way, with unconditional love, then these psychics truly may be spiritual. However, psychics and mediums that demand large sums of money for their services may not be working with the light.

Any "channel" that attempts to get people to follow them, as if they were a god or guru, is taking on the Karmic responsibility of entrapping others. These psychics are not helping others to grow through their own experiences and, even worse, are leading them to believe they need someone else to get their answers, instead of guiding them to hear their own inner voice.

People who start channeling, and have not been formally trained, can get themselves into some very difficult situations, especially on the emotional plane.

When a channel opens the doorway to receive spirit, without knowledge of shielding methods, or discerning that the entity being channeled is of the light, the channel opens to having his or her energy body fragmented. Such a channel may find his or her emotions in a confused state, become schizophrenic, and may even be possessed (controlled) by the entity being channeled.

Simply because a spirit comes through someone does not mean that spirit is of the light, nor does it mean that the spirit is evolved enough in its vibration to even give clear, beneficial information.

Disembodied spirit on the lower astral planes is composed primarily of spirit, that when embodied in its last life, may have been a drug addict, a con artist, maybe even a murderer. Why on earth would anyone think that a spirit of this vibration would be clearer with valuable advise?

Many people who are very pure when they start channeling, end up being "thought controlled" by a negative spirit from the astral planes, or lower dimensions. Not only do these channels lose their power to receive information of light, but their own lives may be negatively affected by their lack of clarity.

When we use psychic energy there are many things we can do, such as telekinesis, psychic surgery, transmutation of matter, levitation, bilocation, telepathy, etc. However, the ability to do these things, while apparently awesome, does not in and of itself make one spiritual.

The way we use our paranormal gift carries with it a big responsibility!

There are many around the world who now have these gifts, and are able to use them properly. Their mission is to assist people in opening their sixth sense to see forward and backward in time. They are to use processes they receive from other dimensions to help people remove emotional blocks, and to reactivate memory of everything that ever was or will ever be. In essence, these channels are assisting people to activate their higher selves.

As we enter the new Millennium everyone will be activated and will, along with the planet itself, rise to a higher dimensional vibration, where like attracts like, and polarities no longer create chaos.

We are all here to help each other in this transition, not to lord over each other with ego and abusive power. We are to learn we are all one!

It is now time for you to look within for the answers you seek. It can be growth-producing to hear some people channel, when they are channeling higher wisdom, but you must stand on your own two feet and listen to your inner voice.

The next time you listen to a psychic, know her or him by the way he or she lives her or his life. Does she do service with unconditional love? Is his reputation a credible one? Does she give service without charge, or a minimal fee? Is he coming from an egoistic personality?

Ask the psychic or channel: How do you know where your information is coming from? If the psychic says, "I don't know," why would you trust the information they give you?

A psychic on the pathway of light will never attempt to have you be dependent upon them. A truly spiritual psychic will uplift your life, and will tell you that it is your free will to decide which path you take to complete your destiny.

From now on, when you listen to a channeler, use your logic as well as your heart, and allow your higher self to tell you the truth. If that truth can assist you in your life, use it, but don't accept anything as gospel.

You are the secret to everything you need or want. Others can help you realize that, but when the final curtain comes down on the play of life on this planet, it is you that will judge your actions. It is your soul that is evolving. Never stop reaching for truth. Allow others who live their lives with unconditional love to inspire you to find your power, and as you become more empowered, reach out to help others find theirs as well.
