Abductions

Since Kenneth Arnold's "first contact" (see "Famous Stories" - "First Contact") there have been thousands of claimed abductees with stories ranging from "I was sleeping and next thing I knew, I was being teleported through my bedroom wall and into an alien space craft", to "there were seven foot tall aliens who took me on their ship and spoke to me through my mind". Although there are several theories as to how victims are selected, alien techniques of medical procedure, alien methods of space travel and almost every other aspect of the world of UFOs and aliens ranging from "do they exist?" to "what do they eat for breakfast?" there is one question who's answer seems to always remain the same. The question is: "Why, if aliens do exist, do they abduct humans?" and the answer seems always to be: "to gain information about us, from the complex innards of our brain to our emotional weaknesses".
