    Uniondale's Lady In White

On the chilly Easter weekend of 1968, a young couple were driving along about 20 kilometres from Uniondale. The woman of the two was sleeping on the back seat, her fiancé driving. In the wet, stormy weather, he lost control of the car and this resulted in an accident. She was killed in the process.

The first recorded sighting was not until the Easter weekend of 1976, when a ghostly, long, dark haired woman dressed in a dark blouse and long pants was sighted. This description matched the clothes she was wearing at the time of the fatal crash.

Since then, there have been many sightings of the same ghost. They all involve a female hitch-hiker being picked up, the car doors open and close at the accidnet site, a shrill laugh is heard and then the ghost disappears.
