Crop Circles

These are close encounters of the second kind - when a UFO leaves evidence of its presence. This section talks specifically about strange patterns that appear on the ground that can most easily be seen in areas in which there are crops growing - hence crop circles. This evidence, however, is not rock hard, as there are some theories that explain this as a natural phenomenon.

The first report ever of a crop circle was in 1590 in Holland, however, this was very much a one-off occurrence, as it was not until the 1960s and 70s that they appeared again, and then not until the 1980s when crop circles became commonly reported, first in counties of England and then spreading to over 70 other farming countries.
