Trigonometric Ratios of Special Angles The trigonometric ratios of the angles 30°, 45° and 60° are often used in mechanics and other branches of mathematics. So it is useful to have their values in surd form.
A square ABCD, is drawn, with sides of a unit length. AC, a diagonal, is drawn.
An equilateral triangle, ABC, of sides 2 units in length, is drawn. AD is drawn from A perpendicular to BC.
