Arc Length From definition of radian, we have, q = s/r s =rq, where q is in radian
Example 1
 If

= 2.5 radians and r = 3 cm, find the arc's length
Length of arc = rq
= 3 x 2.5 cm
= 7.5 cm
Example 2
 The diagram
shows part of a circle with radius of r cm. Calculate the value of r and ÐBOC
in radian.
r = s/q
= 2.4/1.2
= 2
q
= s/r
= 1.4/2
= 0.7 radian
ÐBOC
is 0.7 radian.
