A trip to Paradise Island

Welcome to the Paradise island web site.

Remember what Mark Twain said following  his visit to Mauritius in 1897.. “God created Mauritius first and then paradise was copied  after it..”

If you’ve opened your atlas you must have found it hard to locate Mauritius on the world map. Well, the simple reason is that its out of this world !  Mauritius has all the exoticism of the most exotic resorts, but none of their scars. No concrete jungles. No charter flights, no mass tourism. No social or environmental pollution. Only virgin beaches  embraced by coral reefs, translucent sea lagoons, weird and wonderful landscapes, chic hotels, sophisticated cuisine, charming, cosmopolitan people, civilised politics like a paradise free from original  sin. No wonder Mark Twain was moved to exclaim that God modelled heaven on Mauritius

Tourism
“An Island, here is an island which is about to take off, and which is dozing off in our eyes, as from the doors of our childhood”, the great  french singer Jacques Brel sang. At the time of travel Mauritius is very much one of these magical, unique islands, which respond to the deepest, most anchored, purest and most colourful dreams, like those of a childhood which still believes in paradise...
