Antimatter Propulsion

Antimatter Propulsion is a highly theoretical vision. Antimatter could possibly be the fuel that powers spaceships to the planets and perhaps the stars.

The fuel used will consist of particles of matter and particles of Antimatter. One tank will store the Matter Particles while one will store particles of Antimatter. To propell the craft forward, tanks will release particle by particle of Antimatter and matter which will soon annihilate to give enough energy to propell the rocket forward.
Problems - Storage of antimatter in matter containers is impossible, so special containers have to be designed to prevent the particles from hitting the edges of the containers.

- Production of Antimatter is a rather slow process and is also very expensive.
