How Can Someone Find π? This applet showcases some of the historical methods to find π. In order to find out more on the men and their methods, please visit the history of π section. In order to use this applet, select a method from the drop-down menu. The formula is shown beneath the menu. Click on "Get Info" to learn a bit about the person who invented the method. In order to use the applet, it is necessary to select the number of digits of accuracy to search for (16 is the default). Once "Begin" is clicked, the applet will run until it reaches the specified number of digits or until "Stop" is clicked. |
