Stavkirke Chapel, also known as "The Chapel in
the Hills", gives any tourist a taste of the old country
of Norway. Stavkirke was built in 1969 and resembles an 850 year
old Borgund church in Norway. The building is full of intricate
carvings of various characters, such as dragons and crosses named
for St. Andrew. The Chapel is home to many weddings and it is
open daily for evening worship. Admission is free. For the culturally
enriched, Stavkirke Chapel is a must during your visit to the
Black Hills.
