National
Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship, Inc.
An international organization called National Foundation for
Teaching Entrepreneurship, Inc. (NFTE) encourages “low-income and at-risk young
people to do the world of business and entrepreneurship by teaching them how to
develop and operate their own legitimate small business.”
This program provides
a “hands-on entrepreneurship and business ownership curriculum” for students
that develop their academic and life skills.
They strengthen their math, read, writing, critical thinking, teamwork,
planning, organization, communication, and decision-making skills.
Now in its thirteenth year of existence, NFTE is one of many extensions that future entrepreneurs may turn to when desiring to learn and/or develop their life skills. For further information, feel free to visit their official website (http://www.nfte.com).
