Witchcraft
The Bushmen had a deep believe in charms and witchcraft. If they did not obey them he would surely be punished. A Bushman will never let his shadow cast over dying game, as this would bring bad luck. He won't dig a hole in a dried-up sandy stream to get water before he has given the spirit of the stream a little offering to show his gratitude. He would offer things like meat or arrows if they had nothing else. No matter how thirsty they were they would always do this or the spirit of the stream would bring you bad luck. This spirit is told to look like a human but had green or red skin and had blonde hair. He can also make himself visible and invisible at his own choice.
