About Us

This site was created by Jacques Groenewald, Leon Steyn and Kevin-Jay Pohl. We are al from Hoërskool Pretoria-Noord in Pretoria, South Africa.

We had absolutely no idea how to design a website and had to to figure it out as we went. It was hard at first, but we managed. Time wasn't really on our side as we only heard about the competition a few days before the closing date for the entries. We had great plans for the site. We attended the training course. We planned on having myths and legends from at least six countries, and also a bulletin board. We were convinced that we could win. But, as I said, we didn't exactly have time on our side.

Through the competition we have learnt how to design a website and I must say that I am quite pleased with my html skills at this stage. I will definately design a site of my own in the future. Designing a website is definately my favourite alternative to gaming on my PC to date.

The graphical aspect and the html design was designed by myself, Jacques. I also wrote the Slavic Myths & Legends. The Mythology of the Bushman, the most mysterious people of Southern Africa, was writen by Leon.

This isn't exactly the largest website ever, but what we have on the site we tried to do as well as we could. Whan approaching a topic like ours, you could either just name as many legends as possible, or only name afew interresting ones and go into them in depth. One could say we focused more on quality than quantity.
