Transmission
of Virus The Ebola virus is spread when the victim comes into contact with the natural reservoir, which is currently unknown. Once the first victim has come into contact with the natural reservoir(the index case), and has acquired the disease it can then be spread via the body fluids of the victim or through objects that the victim has come into contact with(needles, bedding etc.) The Ebola virus has shown capability to be transferred from victim to victim through the air in laboratory settings, but this type of transmission has not been documented in a real world setting. |
