2000 Internet Challenge!
Prize winners were announced at an exclusive ThinkQuest Awards Event, which
was organized in Geneva, Switzerland. The Award Ceremony and Gala were
held at the world-famous •European
Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN).
 This
site was selected as one of the Picks of the Week and was featured on the•Natural
Resources Defense Council (NRDC)
website, which provides a comprehensive environmental perspective on what's
happening in the world today. You'll find everything environmental on NRDC's
website, from quick overviews and fun features to in-depth technical materials.
The hundreds of resources include news, legislative updates, scientific
research, policy analyses and an action center that makes it easy to make
your voice heard. Among NRDC's fun features: an environmental calendar
with new (and free) wallpaper every month, an environmental timeline and
interactive "Creature Closeups".
 Poisonous
Plants and Animals: Danger and Use, Beauty and Fun was included in
the Travel and Learn Section of•eSchola,
which is a notable event organized by the•European
Schoolnet, Brussels. The
web site was highlighted as it is considered a useful model for schools
and a valuable resource for all interested to use ICT in classroom. eSchola
is about learning from each other, working together and celebrating success
using new information and communication technologies in Europe's classrooms.
It involves reaching out across Europe, and teaming up with others during
the eSchola week and for years to come.
