"Berlin - vor und nach der Wende" is an educational site for intermediate learners of German. Furthermore, especially the grammarpart can be used by lower intermediate learners. Like the headline says, the topic is "Berlin - before and after the fall of the wall". Here you get the history of the wall and in this way the necessary background information in order to understand the problems and so to be able to work with the texts. These are about the divided Germany, the fall of the wall and about the positive as well as negative consequences like, for example, the German "hangover" that followed after the rapture. To the texts there are either sound- or videoclips. This is also the case for the material in the historysection where you, among other things, can find short descriptions of the localities mentioned in the texts. If necessary, you can go to the videosection to get an overview. In an exercise it willl be tested how much you have understood of the text. Your reply will be sent to your teacher if he has set up a community for this and entered you. As a teacher you can read more about this under Teacher Area. If you as a teacher wish to use the texts in your daily work in the class, you might find the vocablists to each text useful. They are ready to print out. To the German grammar there will be exercises like to fill in the blank. Furthermore you can adjust the page to your personal preferences. You can choose language as well as appearance and your name and email address can be saved automatically. For teachers only! The Teacher Area gives you access to guiding answers to the grammar-exercises. Of course you can also use them as a student but this would only be to cheat yourself, wouldn't it?! In the Teacher Area you can find information about the communitysystem and a form in case you want to set up one. The communitysystem gives you the possibility to receive assignments from your students. Either in the communitysystem or by email. Also, you will have access to forums for teachers. |
