Students
Fleur Delacour goes to Beauxbaton's school. She and her school were visiting Hogwarts for the Triwizard Tournament. Fleur was one of the Tournament Champions. She is part veela because her grandmother was one. Ron Weasley has a crush on Fleur, but he's 14 and she's 17. Fleur hopes to improve her English (because she's from France) and get a job at Hogwarts.
Victor Krum- He is a professional Quidditch player.He plays seeker on the Bulgarian team. He competes in the WorldCup.He became the champion, for Durmstrang, to be in the Tri Wizard contest. For the Yule Ball, he takes Hermione.(Her-my-own-nee)
Cedric Diggory- He is a 7th year at Hogwarts and competes in the Tri Wizard contest and dies at the end of the third task, by Lord Voldemort, by an evil, illegal curse called Avada Kedavra.
Dennis Creevy- He is a first year. He is just as enthusiastic as Colin, his older brother. He fell in the lake on the way over to the castle, on the first day. He got put in Griffyndor.
Teachers
Mad Eye Moody - He became a teacher at Hogwarts as the Defense Against the Dark Arts professer in Harry's 4th year. He has had so much experience with the dark arts that Dumbledore lets him work there even though he is mad.The reason people call him "Mad Eye" is because of his magical eye that is much larger lager than a usual, normal eye. He can see through invisibility cloaks.
Madame Maxime- She is the Head Mistress of Beaxbatons. She is half giant like Hagrid but she won't admit it. Hagrid falls in love with her.
Karkaroff was the Headmaster for Durmstrung School (which was visiting Hogwarts for the Triwizard Tournament), and was supposed to steer the school's ship back to Durmstrung, but he ran away. It didn't matter because he never steered the ship anyway.
Creatures
Winky is a house elf. She used to work for Barty Crouch until he dismissed her from work after the Quidditch World Cup for not staying in the stands and saving a spot for him. Winky was actually hiding Crouch's son under an invisibility cloak. After being dismissed by Crouch, Winky went to Hogwarts to work in the kitchens. Winky was obviously not happy at Hogwarts and still refers to Crouch as her master.
A Niffer is a fluffy black creature with a long snout and flat front paws. The Niffers are what Hagrid had his class study last. The Niffers often live in mines, they love sparkly and shiny things. Ron wanted one as a pet, but Hagrid told him how they wreck houses looking for diamonds, gold, etc.
A Sphinx is a lion with a woman's head, She gives a riddle to Harry in the maze on the third task.
Pigwidgeon is Ron Weasley's owl. Ron calls him "Pig" because he doesn't like the name Pigwidgeon. Ginny (RonŐs little sister) named him and he won't answer to anything else. Ron got Pig at the end of the third book. Sirius Black (Harry's godfather) sent Harry an owl and let Ron keep him because he wanted it to make up for the loss of Scrabbers (Peter Pettigrew).
Blast End Screwt is a lobster like thing. They can get to be 10 feet long. Hagrid was teaching the students to care for these magic creatures.
The merpeople have a town in the lake next to Hogwarts. They surrounded Harry with spears. They took Ron and Hermione hostage as part of the second task. Harry saved Ron.
Curses
Avada Kedavra-One of the unforgivable curses.This curse was the one that Lord Voldemort used to try and kill Harry.
The Cruciatus is a curse used for torturing people, and is one of the unforgivable curses. "Mad-eye Moody" gave an example of it with a spider, and it's one of the curses that Voldemort used on Wormtail
The Imperius curse is a bad curse that takes away control of your body and the evil wizards have control of you. It is one of the unforgivable curses.
Others
Ludo Bagman is head of Magical Games and Sports. He played Quidditch for England, and was a Beater for the Wimborne Wasps. Even though Bagman was an enthusiastic head of Games and Sports department, he was a bit careless when talking about Bludgers and Quaffles around muggles.
Charlie Weasley is one of Ron's older brothers. Charlie graduated from Hogwarts (of course), and is studying dragons in Romania. He helped a lot in the first book when he sent his friends to Hogwarts to help Hagri's dragon (Norbert) escape.
Barty Crouch, Jr. He drank a Polyjuice potion to turn into Mad-eye Moody. This is all a part of Voldermort's plan to kill Harry. Crouch's full name is Bartamous, named after his father, who is was the Minister of Magic.
Frank Bryce was the Riddle's gardener. He has a stiff leg from the war. Some people think he killed the Riddles. He was arrested but they let him go because they had no evidence that he killed them. He is a muggle.
Rita Skeeter is a reporter for the Daily Prophet. She brakes laws to get her stories. She can turn into a beetle. She listens to people while she is a beetle and gets the inside scoop of secret conversations.
