As you know a 'normal' child can do art, music, reading etc.  But you forget that disabled people are no different from other people. Disabled people can read and while they read they learn and use their imagination. Art is very fun and disabled people love to paint and do art.  Art can be very good therapy for a disabled person. As much as disabled people love to do art, their eagerness to do concerts, music shows ets are as much fun and special for them.

In South Africa we have many talented "normal" people especially in our black community.  Can you imagine if they held workshops for the disabled, what disabled people would learn. The talent of our black community is sadly overlooked.  I would love to learn how to do basket weaving, making beads and doing their beautiful woodwork.  All these activites would be therapy for the disabled.
