According to United States Army Transportation, during the World War II, when the
army used the "safety color" that is developed by Faber Birren, rate of accidents in war
factories drastically dropped from 46.14 person to 5.58 person per 1000 persons.
Also, when they tried this color at a navy base, the rate dropped from 6.4 to 4.6 which
is about 18% less.
And according to the research done by the United States Industry Union Committee,
64.7% of industry changed color and increased the lighting effect, 30.9% increased the
quality of good, 19.1% decrease the stress on eyes and body, and 14.7% encouraged
workers.
Furthermore, according to the report stated by the United States Army, in some national
factories applied this "safety color" classification and decreased the accident rate from
46.14% to 5.58%, and in some weapon storage base, the rate of accidents that lead to
handicapping workers decreased from 13.25% to 6.99%.
