Temperate Mixed & Coniferous Forest

To the north of the temperate deciduous forests lie the mixed forests, which contain coniferous trees. These forests are found around the great lakes, southeastern United States, Eastern Europe, and northeastern border of china and Siberia. Temperate mixed forests are the transition zone between deciduous forests and taiga. In the Western parts of North America, exist the coniferous forests. Coniferous forests are composed of trees which do not loose their leaves such as the coast redwood, and the Douglas fir. Coniferous forests are also found across the world in places such as central Europe, and the Himalayas.
