Al Hamra' Palace & Citadel

Nasrid Period (13th and 14th centuries)
It was established by Muhammad al-Ghalib as his royal seat . The palace is in the form of a succession of rectanguler courtyards joined by ornate reception rooms , in the Court of Myrtles and the Court of Lions , pools and fountains reflect the sunlight providing a continuitybetween open and closed spaces.
