What is it?

The pyramids are square-based and have planes on each side of the square that rise up to meet at a point, in a triangle shape sort of structure. The more famous ones are at the Giza plateau near Cairo. These pyramids are thought to be used for storing the dead bodies of kings, with the Great Pyramid thought to be containing King Khufu, or King Cheops. However, this is not the case, as KingA pyramid Khufu’s body was not kept in the pyramid. When it was opened in 820 AD, it was found to be blocked, but when it was removed, only an empty sarcophagus was found, with no other exit. Also, there is no evidence that the Egyptians buried their kings above ground, and yet inner chambers of the pyramids are above ground level. So if they were not used for burial, what were they used for?

The blocks of the Great Pyramid weigh about 6 million tonnes, and is the largest building ever built on the surface of our planet. It is made with very high accuracies for their time; for example, the joints between blocks are less than a fiftieth of an inch. The pyramid used to be covered in white limestone, with a cap of gold, which probably explains why the name “The Light” was bestowed upon it. HowAnother pyramid... the Great Pyramid was built still remains a mystery up till today, but there have been rough sketches in mind about how it was done. It is also thought, by some people, that it was not built by humans, but by aliens as a landing space for them. It is built nearly perfectly aligned with the north-south axis, but this inaccuracy could have been caused by the Earth’s movement, which means that the inaccuracy may not have been the case at first. The ratios used in building the Great Pyramid also relate closely to pi and could very well be a scale model of Earth’s northern hemisphere. The Egyptians could build with such accuracy, even the sarcophagus in the Great Pyramid has mathematical ratio involved. The internal volume was exactly half of the external volume. The sarcophagus was also made out of granite, which show that Egyptians had extremely advanced tools for their time. The tools we have today are just similar models built after those the Egyptians possessed. The arrangements of the Pyramids also closely follow the position of three stars of the Orion’s belt.

What it is believed to be

As explained earlier, the Pyramids could have been burial grounds for kings orYet another pyramid even a landing ground for alien spacecraft.

Conclusion

The Pyramids at Giza are certainly a sight to behold. It reflects the Egyptians’ deep wisdom and knowledge. Whatever the Pyramids were built for, only time, research and more evidence can explain..
