Quito offers a variety of hotels, and apartments. You can even stay with a private family, or share an apartement with local residents.

The top hotels in Quito are the new Sheraton Hotel (Av. Republica de El Salvador and Naciones Unidas), the Swisshotel (12 de Octubre and Cordero), the centrally located Hotel Hilton Colon (Av. Amazonas y Patria), the Radisson hotel (opposite Swisshotel) , the Holiday Inn  (Av de Los Shyris and Naciones Unidas) and the traditional Hotel Quito (at the beginning of Gonzalez Suarez) . All these hotels are centrally located, either close to the tourist area or in the business sector. They all provide a first class-luxury hotel accommodation and some of Quito´s best restaurants are located in these hotels.

Other first class hotels include; Alameda Real (Av. Amazonas and Roca), Akros hotel (Av. 6 de Diciembre), Sebastian (Cordero and Diego del Almagro) and the new Amazonas International (Cordero and Amazonas).

For less expensive accommodation you should try one of the many comfortable hostels in the tourist area such as; Café Cultura (Robles and Reina Victoria), Hostal Los Alpes (Tamayo and Washington), Hostal Villantigua  (Washington and Tamayo), or hostal Sierra Nevada (Veintimilla and Tamayo). Even less expensive accommodation, but still very comfortable can be found at Casa Sol (Calama and 6 de Diciembre), Hostal Palm Garten (9 de Octubre 923), and Hostal Posada del Maple (Rodriguez and 6 de Diciembre and Cordero and J.L. Mera).  You can also try Hostal Eva Luna, the only all womens hostal in Quito (Roca and Amazonas), the inexpensive hostal Reina (Reina Victoria and Baquedano), Youth hostal (Pinto and Reina Victoria), the ECO hostal (9 de octubre and Carrion). There are also others others located in the Mariscal district.

Apartments can be found at El Remanso (Cortez and Reina Victoria),  Apart-hotel Amaranta (Leonidas Plaza and Washington), Apart-hotel Antinea (Rodriguez and Diego del Almagro). Other apartments can be found at Calama and Reina Victoria and the corner of Veintimilla and Reina Victoria.
