7.The courtins

  It is named courtins the part of fortification between two cannons. The courtins are the parts of the construction less protected, the neighbourhood of the cannons being enough to protect them. Above, a narrow passage permits to circulate along the fortifications and to communicate with the stairs and even with inclined plans which reach in the internal courtyard.
