Antitrust Legislation 3 Clayton Antitrust Act (1914)

This is the first supplement to the Sherman Antitrust Act. It was meant to clarify and elaborate on the offenses that were deemed illegal in the Sherman Act.

Also, the Clayton Act cleared up the confusion about the Sherman Act’s application to labor unions by explicitly excluding them from the provisions of the act and other antitrust legislation. It affirmed the right for unions to strike and limited the use of federal injunction in labor disputes.
