Election of 1912

    The presidential election of 1912 was a particularly dramatic one. The organization of a Progressive party under the beloved Theodore Roosevelt made it a three way race. The Republicans chose the incumbent William Taft, who took a conservative non-progressive platform. The choice of Woodrow Wilson to run on the Democratic ticket assured a vitally important race for students of antitrust, showcasing the two opposing schools of thought emerging on the trust issue.
