Bugs in IE Relating to Popup Windows
![]()
We have designed the navigation of our site to incorporate opening content into new browser windows. In development, we discovered a bug which caused our links to not work. We encountered the problem in Microsoft Internet Explorer 5, and heard reports of the same bug in IE4.
We suggest performing this fix so you can get the most out of all websites which use popups, not just ours. This fix requires restarting your computer, however, and reconnecting to your ISP before continuing to view our site, so you may want to save this for later. This solution is available at http://www.action-links.com/bugs.htm.
There are also problems with different version of javascript. In Internet Explorer you must always remember to close the popups in the history section of this site (the only ones running solely from javascript) because the browser will open a new window for each popup, which can be very annoying.
Also, in Netscape Navigator, these same popups do not always come up with the specified dimensions, so be aware of that.
