The 80s was a very confused and complicated fashion period.
Influenced fully by the media and it's a stars, teenagers sought to look
exactly like their idols. When the Flashdance came out, tank tops, torn
jeans and tight-fitting pants took centre stage. Those who didn't wear
such clothes wore Michael Jackson and Madonna's fishnet, leather, chains
and stockings.
* Overcoat largely popular due to Audrey Hupburn. |
| Due to Jane Fonda's influence, most girls fell in love with
zippered ankles, patched pockets and parachute pants. Leg warmers were

Big hair, denim, tights, and other fashion statements that
no person today can understand were the height of cool during the decade
of the 1980s. It was an era of fashion that went out of style with the
decade and may never return except for appearances at 80s dances.

they would catch your eye and the wind several inches above their heads.
* Black nylon parachute pants with two pockets in the front and back. |
