Neural networks : Introduction : Natural NN's (2 of 3)

Theoretically speaking, every neuron looks like the picture shows.

An axon is typically connected to anything from 1.000 to 10.000 dendrites, and that gives about one million billion, 1015 synapses.

Now, what is the meaning of all this? How does this make a brain, that is able to think for itself? It's time to think in a large perspective - A humongous perspective. All these neurons send and receive signals constantly, and in some fantastic way all those connections founds the structure that makes us think. A lot of conclusions have been made, exploring the brain - some of them partly right, and scientists fairly agree how the basic of the brain works today.
