Neural networks : Introduction : Artificial NN's (1 of 3)

We will now move away from the biological network, and begin working with the artificial neural network. A neural network also consist, as the biological, of a lot of neurons. One could regard the artificial neurons as a group of information-processing units that is tied together in one great network. To show the artificial neuron in the best way possible we have chosen to make a figure of one.

The activation-function takes vk as input and gives the output yk. There is a lot of different activation-functions, here is a list of the ones most used.
