Petiveria alliacea L. Is its scientific name, and it comes from the
Fitolacáceas Family. This medicinal plant has plenty of therapeutical
actions depending on the preparation. Using the decocted leaves we'll
get an analgesic, antiasthmatic, antirheumatic, antituberculosis and
diuretic action. With decoction by lavage of its leaves we obtain an
antifebrile, vermifuge and diaphoretic action, it's also very useful
to fight gonorrhea. If we use the vaporization method, it's very
useful to deal with sinusitis. And last, decocting the roots we'll
have an abortive and anti spasmodic action.
