stands on the greenbelt south of the
International
Conference Center, Hiroshima. Erect
ed by
the Hiroshima South District Rotary
Club
on of its founing, the 1.8-meter-high
bronze
a girl withn a young deer taking a
walk in
a May breeze. A tanka by Dr. Hideki
Yukawa,
winner of the Nobel Prize for Physics,
is
inscribed on the pedestal. O god of evil, do not come this way agein. This place is reserved for those who pray for peace. |
