Tampines - The Town Centre

A whole range of facilities are at the main Town Centre of Tampines, also known as Tampines Regional Centre, ranging from the library to the bus interchange. Below is a list of all the facilities which are provided for the residents of Tampines:

Bus Interchange

The interchange here has links to almost all other towns in Singapore. The buses start off from here and travel to the other towns, picking up passengers at bus-stops along the way.

MRT Station

The Tampines MRT Station is also located at the town centre for easy access to transportation to all other parts of Singapore.

Shopping Centres

The two main shopping centres at the town centre are Tampines Mall and Century Square. They provide residents with entertainment with their cinemas and gaming centres alongside dozens of other shops around. In addition, they not only serve the Tampines area, but residents from other towns often flock there to shop as well.

Tampines Sports Hall / Stadium

The sports hall and stadium here provide much recreation for the residents of Tampines. They are under the management of the Singapore Sports Council which is under the Ministry of Community Development and Sports. Furthermore, the stadium is home of the Tampines Rovers in the S-League, a professional soccer league in Singapore.

Commercial Centres

Tampines is also renowned for its various commercial centres which houses big banks like Keppel-TatLee Bank and Overseas Union Bank. Even Compaq has its headquaters here. These provide jobs for the residents who do not wish to go other parts of Singapore for work.

Tampines Regional Library

This library serves the residents here with a wide range of books from children's books, to fiction and non-fiction books.
