Three Tissue Systems.

Dermal.  This is the plant epidermis:  one layer of tightly packed cells whose characteristics depend only on what it covers.

Vascular.

Ground.  This fills in the gaps caused by the separation of the dermal and vascular tissues.  Most cells in this area are parenchyma but collenchyma and sclerenchyma are present for support.  Functions include photosynthesis, storage and - as previously mentioned - support.
