Literature

Literature is fun and is easy to write[if you know how!] Poems don't have to rhyme but they can if you want to! Here are some poem types that are easy to write! Limmericks Limmericks are fun and easy to write, here's how.All you have have to do is have the first, second, and fifth line rime, and have the third and fourth lime rime.

LIMERICKS

A limmerick is a five line poem. A poem is a short story. Here are some LIMMERICKS that we wrote.

There once was a frog,

who lived on a log,

a camper sat down,

and got up with a frown,

and that was the end of the frog!

There once was a proffesor named Snape,

who found he ran out of tape,

he whipped up a spell,

and an anvil fell,

now there's no more Proffesor Snape!

Similes

Similes are poems that compare something to an another by using like or as.Remeber, a poem is a short story. Here are some SIMILES that we wrote!

Harry Potter is cool as ice,

but that doesn't stop him from being nice.

Harry is good at Quiditch,

he has never fallen in a ditch.

Harry may be very famous,

but that can't hold him back from something dangerous.

Harry is really cool,

and Hogwarts is his favorite school

Quiet as a mouse,

a child.

Sometimes a lion,

wild.

for going different places!

Metaphors

Metapors are some what like similes. Like similes, they compare two or more things. But unlike similes, metephors don't use like or as. Also, you might want to consider that metephors are harder than similes. Here are some METEPHORS that we wrote!

Tigers are amazing,

there orange coats on fire,

the stripes so unique,

Tigers I do admire.

Cheetas are cute,

and they are very fast,

When they run there's a golden blur,

striking right past.

Which one I like more,

I do not know,

but tigers can take,

the cold winter snow.

But Africa's heat,

a cheeta can take,

a tiger would fry,

and evenantualy bake!

The spring is a child,

rosy and fresh,

The winter is a puff of cold,

icy breath.

The summer is fire,

hot and mad,

The fall is a person quiet and sad.

Haikus

Haikus are a form of poetry that was developed in Japan. They are very easy though. All you have to do is have three lines. But there is a catch. The first and third lines can only have five silabiles, and the second seven. Here are some HAIKUS we wrote!

Trees sway in the wind,

lush green leaves,

gentle and sweet,

as cute as a rose.

A farm is peaceful,

with the fresh cut,

apple pie,

and the fresh ice cream!

Personification

Personification is a poem that gives human traits[behavor] to things that aren't human. In the example below, the poem uses personification to change the animals.

I and a fellow cheeta are on the hunt,

suddunly a wimper of fear from the grass,

I spot a mouse,

I go in persuit,

I corner the mouse,

He shivers in terror,

the rat begins to grow,

I give a wimper of fear,

the hunter has became the hunted!
