What is Art?

You have seen other opinions of art, and you obviously know yours. We will now give you our opinions of art. During the course of this project our ideas of art have evolved, so we will show both our old opinions of art and new ones.

I used to think art was only on canvas, carved in stone, or very rarely written on paper. It was an expression of feeling or trying to make a person see something in a different way.

Now art is almost anything man creates, from a lansdscape to a picture frame. Art is still an expression though; whether it be a view of a government or a simple emotion from that time.

Art is hard to explain, but people try to explain art. We don't know which meaning is real or not. My opinion is art is the artist's soul. That means we can't change the person's mind who paints or draws that picture, but they may be able to change ours.

Before I knew all this, I though art is only panitings and drawings. Now I think art can be in any form.

I used to think that art was only a profession that trained artists were good at. Now I see that everything around us is art because someone created it, but not just professionals. I now have a better understanding of art. A piece of art can make a viewer feel a certain way or change their emotion just by looking at it. Art can be created through our imagination and creating something new.
