What is art ?

I don't know how to explain the art,but in my understanding that art is creation of sth beautiful.

In your coutry what is the most famous work of art ?

In my country China, there are so many works are so beautiful: Suzhou Garden, sculpture, building, palace ex. If you ask what is the most famous work of art, my answer will be Yuan Ming Yuan. Yuan Ming Yuan (garden of perfection) was known as the Old Summer Palace. It was believed that the five qing emperors, from Yongzheng to Xianfeng, spent most of their time in this place holding audiences and handling state affairs. In 1860, during the Anglo-French invasion, the seventh Qing emperor Xianfeng fled with his concubins to Rehol in the northest of Beijing. During their stay in Rehol, the Old Summer Palace and other imperial palace in the same area were destroyed by the anglo-French Invaders. The Summer Palace,is one of the finest examples of Western gardening.
