Trams in Hong Kong
The electrically powered trams in Hong Kong have been traveling from Kennedy Town to Sha Kei Wan since 1904. Hong Kong Tramways Limited, the company that operates them, have a fleet of 163 double-deck trams and two double-deck open top trams for private hire and tourists. There are eight different tram routes along the commercial and residential northern shore of Hong Kong Island.
Hong Kong is the only place in the world to have an entire fleet of these type of trams. They are essentially the same models which have been operating for nearly a century, even though they were refurbished in 1991.
