| On October 14th 1911, the Kowloon Canton Railway (KCR) was opened, after four years of building. It used to go from Tsim Sha Tsui all the way across the border to Canton. But when the communists took over China in 1949, the KCR could no longer cross the border to get to Canton, so Lo Wu became the terminus. | |||||||||

| The Clocktower was built in 1915 in the Tsim Sha Tsui Station so that passengers could tell what time it was. Today, the clocktower is still standing and telling the time, but the Tsim Sha Tsui KCR station has been moved to Hung Hom. | |||||||||
