             Sphere: Figure with every point on its surface at an equal  distance from the center

 

Theorem 12-9 The area of a sphere equals 4 times the square of the radius. (A=4r2)   Theorem 12-10 The Volume of a sphere equals 4/3 times the cube of the radius. (A=4/3 r3)     The radius: 5  Area=4r2 = 4(52)=100 Volume= 4/3 r3 =4/3 (53)= 500/3
