Death

After the burial people usually left some food and wine for the dead. The dead alighted assumed the similitude of birds. A wake wasn't a sad ceremony. Sitting at bead table relatives and friends of the departed hooted with laughter. It wasn't a sacrilege or a disrespect. The Slavs considered that laugh can repel the Death and relieve the life of the departed in kingdom come.
