Childhood

The Childhood.

In Ancient Russia parents began to take care of their child long before his birth. It was considered that a mother was more vulnerable to the evil. That's why she needed careful treatment and protection. So, when a woman's husband had to leave home, she tied round her waist his waistband and to use his clothes as a blanket. This way husband's "power" protected his wife. A month before the childbirth pregnant women were not allowed to go outdoors for House Spirit and Holy Fire of the fireplace could help her inside and nobody outside.
