much is the government spending on the project?
The
following chart shows the amount of money, in millions, that
the DOE and NIH genome programs spend annually on the project.
Set aside from their total annual budgets is from 3% to 5% for
the study of the project's ethical, legal, and social issues
(ELSI). As you can see, we have spent over 2.5 billions dollars
up to now.
