Presidents

This is the core of the site: an exploration into the careers of the men who have shaped the world.  These eleven American Presidents played a major role in this century's role.

Why aren't some presidents listed? Some -- Hoover and Coolidge, for example -- didn't play a major or lasting role abroad.  In the case of Gerald Ford, it was much simpler to consider his foreign policy as a continuation of Nixon's, a justifiable conclusion since the guiding foreign policy force in his administration was Nixon-appointed Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.
