• More earth-like by having a larger toilet seat opening
• Individual disposable fecal collection bags
• Enhancements in stool separation
• Positive bag sealing and compaction incorporation
• No stalling while handling “slug” flow capacity in both phases of the fan/separator
• Minimize urinal build up by flushing prior to the mission.

    This list is an outcome of studies for the Skylab Orbital Workshop, Shuttle Orbiter Vehicle and Representative Shuttle Environmental control system.
