But I need some advise. I recently added 128mgs of ram to my computer. In a few days I will be installing a faster cpu. I want to totally clean off my hard drive and start from scratch like it's a brand new comuter. Have any of you guys every done this and if so were there any problems with it. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Schares12 - 03/28/02 12:00AM I have done it many times and there is useually no problems. The way i suggest you do it is a low level format. It cleans better then just going into command promt and doing a format. but to do a low level format you need to download a program that you should be able to get on the net somewhere(might want to serch www.google.com) put it on a floopy and when you start up the computer have the floopy in and it should run you through the process. It takes longer to do a low level but it deletes more then just format.
